Smelter

Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Smelter is an AI-assisted project management service, operated by Groupe Axologique Inc., a company established in Quebec, Canada. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Your account

You must have the legal capacity to contract and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity carried out from your account.

An account is personal. The members you invite into your organization each have their own.

3. Acceptable use

We may suspend an account that breaches these rules, with notice where circumstances allow.

4. Your content

Your content is yours. You grant us only the technical licence needed to host it, display it, back it up, and have it analyzed by Pierre AI at your request.

You can export your items as CSV and your personal information as JSON, at any time, from Settings.

5. Artificial intelligence

Pierre AI classifies, summarizes and states hypotheses. It never decides: the human decision remains yours. Its output may be incomplete or wrong, and constitutes neither professional advice nor a warranty.

Access to Pierre AI is capped according to your plan.

6. Plans, trial and billing

Every new organization starts with a trial of the Pro plan. At the end of the trial, the organization returns to the free plan unless a paid subscription is taken out.

Subscriptions are monthly, paid in advance by card through our provider Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Displayed prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes; applicable taxes — GST and QST for Quebec customers — are added, where applicable, at payment time.

You may cancel at any time from the Billing page; paid access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Started periods are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

7. Termination and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; if you are the last person in your organization, all of its content is erased as well.

We may close an account in case of a serious breach of these terms, or if the service ceases to be offered, with reasonable notice allowing you to export your data.

8. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability towards you is limited to the amounts you paid us during the twelve months preceding the event in question. Nothing here waives the rights the law grants you and that cannot be waived.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and in Canada. Any dispute falls to the courts of the district of Québec, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. Any material change will be published on this page with a new effective date and announced to account holders. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
